Since the autumn, participants have been working in international teams alongside students from American universities. They developed research projects, prepared presentations, and discussed their work with instructors and experts.
The program culminated in conferences in Prague and at Stanford, where students presented their research findings and received professional feedback.
FLAS students were invited to the final two-day conference at Stanford. During the conference, they presented their own research, attended presentations by other teams, and met with invited speakers, including Francis Fukuyama, Mikhail Zygar, and others.
Projects like these are an important part of education at FLAS. From their first years of study, students gain experience in international academic work, learn to research complex topics as part of a team, present their work at major academic venues, and begin building a professional portfolio even before graduating.
