Beach University. Winter Semester

Enroll

The Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences in Montenegro continues the “Beach University” programme – an intellectual adventure by the sea.

Participants combine vacation and study. For one week (or longer) you live in a villa on the Adriatic coast, study with our best lecturers and spend time with like‑minded people, getting to know each other as well as theories, practices, viewpoints and cultures.

  • Classes are held in small, comfortable groups.
  • Age does not matter – we welcome everyone from 18 to 120.
  • Lecturers are nearby and devote all their time to the group.
  • The programme is exclusive and designed specifically for Beach University.

About the programme

Several hours a day are devoted to intensive immersion in the topic you choose; the rest of the time is for the sea, walks, conversations and shared trips.

In the winter semester our lecturers are sociologist Viktor Vakhshtayn, art historian Anna Guseva, urbanist Roman Rudoy, anthropologist Alexandra Arkhipova and linguist Alexander Piperski.

If you want to see resort towns out of season, stroll along almost empty beaches and enjoy gentle winter sun; if you want to learn from university professors without committing to a full degree programme; if you are tired of discussions and arguments on social media and prefer live conversation; if you are looking for inspiration and new motivation to continue your journey – Beach University may be a good option.

Beach University is also a way to try out the atmosphere of free education and decide whether a Liberal Arts education in Montenegro is suitable for you or for your children, friends and relatives. If you have been thinking about applying to FLAS, you can test the format by coming to “Beach”.

Registration is via the online form or by email: hello@liberalarts.me.
